1.1. Pre-Flight
Before you even start the engine, you should have already checked the ATIS for the current weather, runway in use, and other important information, and completed your pre-flight inspection.
1.2. Start-up and Taxi
Pilot requests taxi:
"Kasel Ground, Cessna Foxtrott at the general aviation parking, request taxi for a VFR circuit, information [ATIS identifier]."Tower (Ground) provides taxi clearance:
"Cessna Foxtrott Bravo Mike Romeo, taxi to holding point [Runway Number] via [Taxiway(s)]."Pilot reads back clearance:
"Taxiing to holding point runway [Runway Number] via [Taxiway(s)], [Aircraft Type] [Registration Number]."1.3. At the Holding Point
Pilot reports ready for departure:
"[Airport Name] Tower, [Aircraft Type] [Registration Number] holding point runway [Runway Number], ready for departure, VFR circuit."1.4. Takeoff
Tower provides takeoff clearance:
"[Aircraft Type] [Registration Number], cleared for takeoff runway [Runway Number], left/right hand circuit, wind [Direction] at [Speed]."Pilot reads back clearance:
"Cleared for takeoff runway [Runway Number], left/right hand circuit, [Aircraft Type] [Registration Number]."1.5. During the Circuit
Pilot reports on the downwind leg:
"[Aircraft Type] [Registration Number], downwind for runway [Runway Number]."Pilot reports on the base leg:

Pilot requests taxi to parking:
